National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC)

About the Trip

Our campers will have an exciting trip to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC)! Located in the heart of Old Cairo, overlooking the picturesque Ain El-Sira Lake, this pioneering institution laid its foundation stone in 2002. The unique design was created by Egyptian architect Dr. El Ghazzali Kosseiba, who won an international competition for the project, while the exhibition spaces were designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki. The construction was carried out by Hassan Allam Construction. We'll embark on a fascinating journey through Egypt's rich history, exploring the main gallery, the intricate textile gallery, and the awe-inspiring Royal Mummies Gallery, all guided by an expert who will bring these ancient wonders to life.
